Meet the Founders

Edith Nkem Declan, MSN, APRN, FNP-C Edith Nkem Declan-Beluolisa is a Family Nurse Practitioner, nurse educator, clinical researcher, women’s health advocate, nonprofit leader, and doctoral scholar whose work sits at the intersection of healthcare, research, education, prevention, and women’s empowerment. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Nursing at UTHealth Houston Cizik School of Nursing, where her scholarly work focuses on the prevention of gestational diabetes mellitus and the factors that influence women’s health before and during pregnancy. Her research interests include preconception health, obesity, access to healthcare, health behavior, maternal health disparities, and the development of nurse practitioner-led interventions that translate research into meaningful improvements in women’s lives. Edith brings a diverse professional background spanning family practice, oncology nursing, clinical and translational research, community health, and nursing education. Her career reflects a deep commitment to moving healthcare beyond simply treating disease toward prevention, education, early intervention, and empowering individuals to become informed participants in their own health. She is also the Co-Founder of Blooming D’Elles, a nurse practitioner-led nonprofit organization dedicated to helping women and girls thrive through preventive health education, wellness, empowerment, mentorship, leadership development, and community support. Through initiatives focused on women’s wellness, emotional well-being, professional development, mentorship, and the education and empowerment of girls, Edith is helping build a platform where women are equipped not only to survive challenges but to flourish through every season of life. In addition to her nonprofit leadership, Edith is the founder of Francis Health LLC, reflecting her broader vision of expanding access to preventive, patient-centered, and evidence-based healthcare. With over 20 years of experience as a Public Speaker , Edith brings together clinical expertise, research, lived perspective, leadership, and purpose to address topics including women’s health, maternal health, preventive care, leadership, resilience, education, research, and women’s empowerment. Her guiding philosophy is simple yet powerful: when women are healthy, informed, educated, and empowered, families become stronger and communities thrive. Ogechi Nebeolisa, FNP, PMHNP
Ogechi Nebeolisa, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, entrepreneur, and community advocate whose work is rooted in a deep passion for service, empowerment, and helping people realize their potential. With more than a decade of experience in healthcare, Ogechi has dedicated her professional career to supporting individuals through some of their most vulnerable moments. Her work has shaped her belief that true wellness extends beyond physical and mental health—it also includes connection, confidence, opportunity, purpose, and having access to the support needed to grow. As the Co-Founder of Blooming D’Elles, Ogechi brings that same belief into the community. Inspired by a vision to create more than just an organization, she is helping build a space where women and girls can be seen, supported, challenged, celebrated, and inspired to step boldly into the next level of their lives. Her passion is centered on creating meaningful opportunities for women to connect, learn, lead, and thrive while also investing in the future of girls through education, mentorship, empowerment, and initiatives such as Educate the Girl Child. Ogechi believes that every woman carries the potential to bloom when she is given the right environment, encouragement, resources, and opportunities. Through Blooming D’Elles, she hopes to cultivate a strong community of women who not only pursue their own personal and professional growth but also reach back to uplift, mentor, and create opportunities for others. Known for her passion for bringing people together and turning ideas into meaningful initiatives, Ogechi is committed to building programs and partnerships that create lasting impact. She believes in the power of community, authentic connections, shared knowledge, and the extraordinary things that can happen when women come together with purpose. Dr. Macbarbara Amaechi, DNP, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, healthcare entrepreneur, and Founder of Blissz Psychiatry & Healthcare. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based, and individualized mental health care that empowers patients to achieve lasting emotional wellness. As a clinical leader and preceptor, Dr. Amaechi is passionate about mentoring future psychiatric providers, advancing mental health education, and promoting excellence in clinical practice. Her work reflects a strong commitment to innovation, accessibility, and reducing barriers to quality behavioral healthcare. Beyond clinical practice, she is actively involved in community initiatives focused on education, empowerment, and service. Dr. Amaechi combines clinical expertise, leadership, and an entrepreneurial mindset with a clear purpose: to transform lives, strengthen communities, and help shape the future of mental healthcare.
